I have been working with Damask for over 15 years now, and can still so much appreciate its qualities.

It is a fabric that seems to have been around for a very long time. I come across so many people thru my work who have something of mums or grandmas made from damask, tucked away in their linen cupboard.
I do get so many nice comments from my customers that have come back time and again thru my years in working at Eumundi Markets with my business, "Heritage Linen"

Of course I have been sleeping on damask this whole time and I really couldn't imagine sleeping on anything else (except when I go away somewhere, and its never quite the same!)

Working on the hinterland of Noosa, as you can imagine, definitely has its advantages. I have my workrooms at home on an acre of land, which has on it two beautiful billabongs which bring lots of wildlife, and all only about 15mins from Noosa!

Every Saturday I set my stall up at Eumundi Markets, (rain, hail or shine is the market motto!) I have been there for 16 years now and you know, I still really enjoy every Saturday. I have made some lovely friendships thru the market, and I have a lifestyle that is really hard to beat

I have been sewing since about the age of twelve. My Nana & Grandma were great craftswomen, always doing something with their hands, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and my mum is a beautiful sewer, she always made mine and my sisters clothes and now, my daughter has been doing a fashion design course and looks like going into the same field (So proud!!)
