Truessence – ‘clothing for every woman’…..

Classy hippy and ‘bohemian’ kept coming to mind when I was trying to choose a name for my clothing label.

I love wearing natural fibres so have been sourcing lots of linen, cottons, silks and rayons…fabrics that move with you and let your body breath.

Truessence came about when I became discouraged with the range of clothing available for a woman of my age. Something to wear that was cool…comfortable…smart casual…and affordable, was proving quite difficult…and so…my label ‘Truessence’ I found to be the perfect answer to my shopping woes!!

I have been designing and producing for my ‘Heritage Linen’ label at Eumundi Markets for over 15yrs and had the perfect market stall setup to accommodate 2 different products, so I thought…why not! I have enjoyed every minute of it – finding my way back thru my old patternmaking and sewing skills was just the challenge I had been looking for, and up til now my designs have proved quite popular.

The ‘wrap skirts’ are made in an array of hand picked fabrics, and are great for beachwear, workwear, and even for a night out! They are very comfortable and will fit a size range from 10 thru to size 16. I have added some beautiful flowing satins as well for this range.
Price range for the skirts are from - $49.

The ‘peasant tops’ are made with a short or ¾ sleeve and range in size from small thru to X large. Fabrics I have chosen for these are mainly pure linens and fine cottons. Sometimes I’ll find the odd gorgeous piece of georgette or chiffon which I just can’t resist.
Pricing for the peasant tops are $49 (short sleeve)....$59 (3/4 sleeve)

The ‘wrap belts’ I have recently added to the range. I have been making them from a faux suede fabric in a variety of earthy colours and are contoured to fit comfortably around you hips or waist.
Price for the belts is $35.

I’ve tried to create a range of clothing for the Truessence label which will be timeless, and can hopefully be a part of your wardrobe for years to come. If you come to Eumundi Markets, call in to the stall and have a look, I often have new styles that I have been playing around with. I’m at the markets every Saturday, on 1st Ave, in front of the main stage. (The ‘Original’ Eumundi Markets of course!)
